Butchery Lane Junction

I'm still wondering who allowed the building on the left to be so imposing, if it had been about 2 foot further back, it would have been reasonable. The building in the centre of the photo, beyond the tree was being built in the Summer of 1997, it replaces the old National Westminster Bank building and a Canterbury landmark, a large blue clock.

Turn left here down Butchery Lane and on the right you will find a museum containing the remains of a roman house with a mosaic pavement that was discovered post-war in the bomb-damaged ruins at this end of the city. Look for a right turn to see the front of this building.
