Mercery Lane

Mercery Lane leads away from the Cathedral and back to the centre of the City. It has a notable bookshop, the Albion Bookshop, which is run by locals. This narrow lane is overhung by old buildings that go back to medieval times. The site on the right was once the `Cheker of the Hope' Inn where pilgrims stayed when travelling to the Cathedral.
