The High Street

On the left are some more modern frontages in the centre of the City. On the right, with its gable end just jutting into the picture is the `Beaney', the main City public library. Opposite is the County Hotel, with its red sign sticking out into the street.

Turn left into White Horse Lane, where the pub puts out tables for sunlit lunches.
