St. Margaret's Church now houses the 'Canterbury Tales Visitor Centre', a celebration of Chaucer's Canterbury Tales. The experience is hard to describe, you travel from room to room with Chaucer's pilgrims hearing the tales. The Canterbury Tales web page has more details.

A couple of reports on the conversion appeared in the Annual Reports of the Canterbury Archaeological Trust. It's evident that the 'working' title of the project was 'Pilgrim's Way'. There's also a followup snippet from 1988/1989.
