Archaeology at Burgate |

Burgate was one of the main roman gates into the city walls of Canterbury. Road works on the Ring Road in 1988 allowed the Canterbury Archaeological Trust to examine the site (and also St.Georges or Newingate). The reports were printed in the 1987/1988.
