Just North of the Level Crossing
(Photo 1996)

Here we have crossed over the railway line and are moving out towards St. Dunstan's Church and the London Road.

The railway crossing is a pain, somehow the gates always seem to be closed when you are in a hurry trying to get past them. They cause periodic congestion in the street, as the traffic backs up waiting for them to open.

The houses in the left are certainly very old, if you are walking in English cities, look up at the roofs, old tiles will tell you that the buildings are often older than they look.
