All Dark Forces weapons fire by pressing the CTRL Key. Some weapons have a secondary fire, used by hitting the Z key. As you know, the Rebellion is low on resources, so you will have to scrounge some from the Empire. Here is a list of all the Dark Forces weapons:
DESCRIPTION: I am sure you know how this works! The good thing about the fists is that you have unlimited ammo!
RESTRICTIONS: You need to be close to the target!
DESCRIPTION: Compared with the Imperial weapons, this is slow. But it makes up for that by its accuracy! However, you wouldn't want to take on a Dark Trooper with it, so I tend not to use it! Impact diminishes over distance. However, some people find it useful. Martin Fay emailed this comment to me:
"One comment I'd make is that you rubbish the bryar pistol on the weapons pages...BUT...I originally thought this, but it's actually great if you're in big open areas. You can back off to where the shmuck stormtroopers can't hit you and pick them off ;) AND it's sparing on ammo".
RESTRICTIONS: Impact diminishes over distance
AMMO: Power Cell (1 cell per shot)
PRIMARY: Laser beam
SECONDARY: Laser beam
DESCRIPTION: You have seen these being used on Star Wars, you know what they can do and cannot do. Faster than a blaster pistol but a bit random.
RESTRICTIONS: Impact diminishes over distace
AMMO: Power Cell (2 cells per shot)
PRIMARY: Rapid Laser beams
SECONDARY: Rapid Laser beams
DESCRIPTION: A grenade type weapon with two modes. The first explodes on impact. The second (press Z key) puts the thermal detonator on a 3 second fuse! The longer you hold down the firing key, the further you throw the detonator.
RESTRICTIONS: At the mercy of gravity. You can't garantee a hit!
PRIMARY: Explodes on impact
SECONDARY: 3 second delay
DESCRIPTION: A fast weapon that can level a room of Storm Troopers!
AMMO: Power cells (1 cell per shot primary, 3 cells per shot secondary)
PRIMARY: Rapid plasma projector
SECONDARY: A 3 cluster of plasma balls
DESCRIPTION: A construction tool, but can be used as a weapon. It's force can keep even a phase one Dark Trooper at bay!
AMMO: Power cells (1 cell Primary, 8 cells secondary)
PRIMARY: Fires one barrel a time in a straight line.
SECONDARY: Fires all four barrels at once (good for clearing hall ways)
DESCRIPTION: A portable mine. Really good for making sure you are not cut off!
STRENGTH: Very strong
RESTRICTIONS: Have to be placed by hand!
PRIMARY: 3 second delay untill detonation.
SECONDARY: Motion sensor mode, imidiatly detonates when a moving object enters it's blast range.
DESCRIPTION: The Mortar gun lobs a shell that explodes on impact.
RESTRICTIONS: Not lethal unless you park a mortar right next to the target.
AMMO: Shells (1 shell per fire)
PRIMARY: Shell launcher
SECONDARY: Same as Primary
DESCRIPTION: My favorite weapon! Fires compressed bullets of ionised air that explode in shock waves. You don't actually need to aim it compleatly in the targets direction, randomly firing is ok.
AMMO: Power cells (4 cells per shot)
PRIMARY: Ionised energy projector
SECONDARY: Same as primary
DESCRIPTION: This is the prize of Kyles arsenal. It can take down even Dark Troopers in around 20 shots from Primary, and 5 from secondary. But the ammo for this gun is rare, and the assault cannon connot be used as a weapon to go around with.
STRENGTH: Very, Very Strong
AMMO: Plasma Cells (primary) and Rockets (secondary)
PRIMARY: Fires a rapid stream of plasma.
SECONDARY: Fires Rockets.
DESCRIPTION: This is included in the weapons because it is used in battle. Basically, it is a personal shield that can shield you from directed energy weapons.
RESTRICTIONS: Won't protect you from getting punched, slashed, burned, eaten, mutilated etc.....
AMMO: Shield Units
